My aim is always the same: to make your writing feel more confident, coherent, and true to your voice, without making the process feel overwhelming. Below, you’ll find my standard hourly rates and a few sample estimates to help guide your decision.
Hourly rates:
Proofreading: £26/hour
Copy Editing: £34/hour
Minimum charge: £15 - ideal for short pieces like bios, captions, or micro-edits.
All quotes are based on word count, content type, and turnaround time. Once I’ve reviewed your document, you’ll receive a bespoke quote - no guesswork, no surprises.

How It Works
Step 1 - Send Your Brief
Use my contact form to share your word count, deadline, and whether you need proofreading or full copy editing. (All copy editing includes proofreading - no need to double up.)
Step 2 - Receive Your Quote
I’ll send you a personalised quote. Once confirmed, you’ll receive an invoice for 50% upfront to secure the booking. The rest is due within 7 days of final delivery.
Step 3 - Editing In Progress
I’ll return your document by the agreed deadline, edited with care and precision. You’ll receive a version that flows more clearly, reads more smoothly, and reflects your intent with greater confidence.
Step 4 - Final Delivery
Alongside your final file, I’ll share any light recommendations that may elevate your work further. Your final invoice will follow, with 7 days to complete payment.
Confidentiality & Trust
I understand the importance of discretion when it comes to your work. Every document is handled securely and with complete confidentiality. I never share your work, and I take great care to protect your intellectual property at every stage of the editing process. My role is to help you present your ideas at their strongest, always with full respect for your privacy and voice.
Document Retention Policy
I retain client documents for 30 days after final delivery, in case you have any questions or need clarification. After that, your files are securely deleted from my systems.
If you’d prefer your file to be deleted immediately after delivery, just let me know at the time of booking.
I don’t keep copies beyond this point, so I recommend saving a version for your own records.
