1. Scope of Services

LFP Editorial Studio provides:

• Proofreading and copy editing for businesses, writers, and students

• Editing support for writers includes manuscript editing, book proposals, and creative nonfiction

• Copywriting services for businesses, creatives, and service providers

Every project will be clearly defined and agreed in advance, including the scope of work, word count, turnaround time, and pricing.

2. Quotes and Payment

• Quotes are based on word count, project complexity, and required turnaround time

• A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking and secure your place in the schedule

• The remaining 50% is due within 7 days of final delivery unless agreed otherwise in writing

• Invoices are issued via email and are payable via bank transfer

For smaller or urgent projects, different terms may occasionally apply. This will always be confirmed before work begins.

3. Turnaround Times

• Delivery timelines will be confirmed at the time of booking

• I aim to deliver all work on or before the agreed date. If any unexpected delay occurs, I’ll notify you as soon as possible

• Expedited projects may be subject to a rush fee, depending on availability

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to:

• Submit finalised content before work begins (unless we’ve agreed a phased project)

• Provide all materials in an editable format (e.g. Word, Google Docs)

• Respond to questions or clarification requests in a timely manner to avoid delays

5. Revisions

• One round of post-delivery revision is included (for editing and copy writing projects), provided it is requested within 7 days of delivery

• Substantive rewrites or additional feedback rounds beyond the agreed scope may incur additional charges

6. Use of AI Tools and Editorial Technology

All editing services provided by LFP Editorial Studio are carried out manually by a human editor unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.

AI tools are not used to generate, rewrite, or rephrase content without prior client approval. If AI-assisted input is requested by the client (e.g. to reduce turnaround time or lower the cost of a project), this will be:

• Clearly discussed in advance

• Reflected in the project quote

• Marked where appropriate in the deliverables

Transparency is central to how I work. Clients will always be informed if AI assistance is used, and a human editorial eye remains central to every service I provide.

7. Confidentiality

All client materials are treated with strict confidentiality and never shared outside the scope of the agreed service. If you require an NDA, I’m happy to sign one before work begins.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel a project before work begins at no charge

• If work has already started, you will be invoiced for the portion completed up to that point

• Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced unless otherwise agreed

9. Copyright And Portfolio Use

• For editing work: copyright remains with the original author.

• For copywriting: once final payment has been received, full rights to the agreed deliverables transfer to the client.

With your permission, anonymised excerpts may be used in my portfolio or marketing. No identifying information will be shared without consent.

10. Document Retention Policy

I retain client documents for 30 days after final delivery, to allow time for follow-up or revision requests. After this, all files are securely deleted from my system.

If you prefer your document to be deleted immediately upon delivery, please let me know in advance.

Please note: I do not retain copies beyond this period. I recommend that you keep your own copy for your records.

11. Right to Decline

I reserve the right to decline work that:

• Falls outside my areas of expertise

• Raises ethical concerns (e.g. academic dishonesty or offensive content)

12. Contact

I aim to respond to all emails within 1–2 business days. All communication will be conducted via email unless otherwise agreed.
